Who is Lorna
I’ve been where you are. I know the heavy, hollow feeling of staring at an unexpected bill and wondering which "essential" expense has to be cut to cover it. I know the paralyzing silence of not even knowing which questions to ask, let alone where to find the answers.
I became a financial counselor because I believe no one should have to navigate their financial life in a state of constant survival mode. My mission is to help you move from financial stress to financial strategy.
My Approach
I have been an Accredited Financial Counselor (AFC®) since 2016. My process isn't about lecturing; it's about partnership. We start by looking at the full picture of your life—your situation, your values, and your vision for the future. Together, we build a bridge from where you are to where you want to be.
Navigating the Weight of Debt
One of the most significant burdens my clients carry is debt. Whether it’s student loans, credit cards, or medical bills, debt is often more than just a numbers problem—it's an emotional one.
When we work together on debt, we do three things:
Remove the Shame: We look at the numbers objectively. Debt is a chapter of your story, not the whole book.
Stop the Cycle: We create a concrete plan for unexpected expenses so you can stop relying on new debt to cover life’s surprises.
Aggressive Advocacy: We develop a customized repayment strategy that balances your need for progress with your need to actually live your life today.
The Goal: Empowerment
Clients who work with me don’t just get a spreadsheet; they get a transformation. By learning from the past rather than being defined by it, you will gain the confidence to make informed decisions and the tools to achieve your most ambitious financial goals.
